Responsibilities

Developing project scope of work and fee proposals

Managing task or project-level budgets and schedules

Providing day-to-day direct oversight of traction power planning and design projects

Developing project design criteria, construction plans, construction specifications, and cost estimates

Writing technical reports

Assign daily work, and mentor junior staff

Manages implementation plans as appropriate

Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs)

Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local, and federal regulations and best practices

Meets with current and potential future clients to review their current and future organizational needs

May participate in professional associations and societies, attend conferences, contribute to papers, etc

Required

Bachelor's degree

12 years of related experience

Domestic and/or international travel may be required

The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands

Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Preferred

Strong background in Overhead Contact System design, Traction Power design, DC Power design, testing, installation, and construction phase services, preferably with clients like CTA, Metra and/or similar transit agencies nationwide

Experience managing and delivering design projects from initiation through final design

Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD

Ability to present in front of large groups

Task leader, discipline leader, or project management experience, including development of project proposals and creation of scope of work documents
