This role involves overseeing production, workforce development, safety, and compliance while driving efficiency and cost control.

Responsibilities

Plan and assign mining activities to meet production and quality targets

Supervise mine operations, equipment use, and workforce training for safety and productivity

Collaborate with Plant and Packaging Managers to balance mine output with plant needs

Work with Mine Engineer/Geologist on short- and long-term mining plans

Ensure compliance with MSHA, ATF, and state regulations

Manage capital projects, budgets, and haulage operations

Maintain accurate reporting and enforce mine procedures

Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and employee engagement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field

10–12 years mining experience, including mine planning and processing methods

Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in mining or heavy construction

Proficiency in mine design software; CAD experience preferred

Knowledge of surveying, explosives, and project management

Blasting license or eligibility to obtain

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in underground environments; MSHA training required
