Fundraising Manager, Development
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. As the Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for implementing key fundraising events and cultivating community relationships to drive success and achieve revenue goals.

Responsibilities
Manage Walk to End Alzheimer’s and The Longest Day peer-to-peer fundraising events
Generate excitement and enthusiasm in your communities
Coach and inspire your volunteers to implement and build on proven strategies and best practices that result in event growth year over year
Build sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to achieving event revenue goals, greater community participation and heightened brand awareness
Recruit, manage, and coach volunteers to effectively implement best and proven practices to achieve fundraising goals
Initiate and implement a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy, including outreach initiatives, networking efforts, and targeted marketing campaigns
Manage multiple volunteer-led mass-market events simultaneously that have resulted in revenue growth year over year
Create unique, engaging community outreach activities that promote the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission
Maintain year round relationships with National & Global team partners and constituents
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals OR 3 - 5 years successful experience of meeting sales targets
Proven success at building sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to achieving event revenue goals, greater community participation and heightened brand awareness
Successfully recruited, managed, and coached volunteers to effectively implement best and proven practices to achieve fundraising goals OR effectively assimilate custom training on peer-to-peer fundraising and leverage sales/relationship development background to recruit, manage, and coach volunteers
Initiated and implemented a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy, including outreach initiatives, networking efforts, and targeted marketing campaigns
Managed or capable of managing multiple volunteer-led mass-market events simultaneously that have resulted in revenue growth year over year
Known as a convener and have successfully built a positive, healthy, and inclusive team environment
Enthusiastic networker excited to identify, recruit, and engage new companies and activity-based groups in the community
Achieved or surpassed designated revenue and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships
Demonstrated success at prospecting, cultivating and stewarding event teams, sponsors and participants or related experience through sales
Excellent communication and organization skills and comfortable with managing event budgets, training volunteers, working to set timelines and milestones and using data to affect positive outcomes
Able to execute a plan with the volunteer committee to recruit and retain past participants through implementing best practices and providing excellent customer services
Create unique, engaging community outreach activities that promote the Alzheimer's Association's mission
Capability to maintain year round relationships with National & Global team partners and constituents
Ability to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory by car
Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required for committee meetings, community events, and other supportive events
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport up to 25 lbs. of materials
Confident, goal-oriented, positive self-starter, able to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with internal and external partners
Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships
Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers at different levels of expertise
Ability to work with diverse communities and demonstrate inclusion
Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication and follow through
Proficient in delivering engaging presentations and speeches to diverse audiences
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products and social media, experience with, or ability to rapidly learn Luminate/ Convio software
Must have a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, a good driving record, and proof of automobile insurance
