EMH&T is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer, PE to join our growing Transportation Planning and Design team located in Columbus, OH. You will have the opportunity to assist with all aspects of project development and subsequent plan preparation, focusing on a variety of transportation-related projects.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of project development and subsequent plan preparation using drafting and engineering design techniques to meet our client needs
Design or redesign of highways/roadways
Interchange design
Drainage design
Plan reviews
Coordination with public regulatory agencies and utility companies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation Engineering
Professionally licensed in Ohio
8 - 10 years work experience in civil engineering
Attention to detail, organizational and follow up capabilities
Flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities
Demonstrated oral and written communications
Strong work ethic
Creative application of technology to tasks and to solve problems
Ability to act as a technical lead within a team environment, including checking of plan/calculation
Planning and organization capabilities with high attention to details; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; manage time effectively
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly
Familiarity with CAD and design software, including: MicroStation and GEOPAK/OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
