Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a robust network of municipal clients and teaming partners

Identify potential projects within the region and initiate implementation strategies for successful awarding of new design contracts

Business development activities including client relationship building

Develop project scopes, professional services fee development, and staff projections

Produce winning project proposals as lead professional/project manager

Support leaders of multiple teams producing public works projects

Supervise direct reports (Team Leaders)

Train and coach Team Leaders and Production staff

Manage project administration and supervision

Work in a collaborative team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines

Oversee large scale, complex, multi-discipline projects

Drive sales growth, coach strong financial project performance, and monitor other key metrics

Qualification

Civil Engineering DegreeProfessional Engineer LicenseAutoCAD Civil 3DProject ManagementTechnical WritingClient Relationship BuildingTeam LeadershipMentoring StaffCollaboration SkillsPositive Attitude

Required

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree

Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas or transferrable within 2 months

At least 12 years of experience in public works utilities, local infrastructure and roadway design

AutoCAD Civil 3D experience

Strong technical writing and communication skills

Servant leader mentality with strong ability to train and mentor staff

Strong ability to train and mentor staff

Demonstrable project wins as a key individual on the project team organizational chart

Must be proficient in project management, administration, and supervision

Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines

Positive attitude, self-directed and continuous learner
