Responsibilities
Development of computer models to investigate water network issues and investment needs and generation of outline solutions
Analysis of data
Supporting the development of engineering solutions and advising to our clients to help them make better asset investment decisions
Support development of reports and other project deliverables
Prepare (and adhere to) health and safety risk assessments
Support in the development of tender responses and fee estimates at higher grades
Supervising and developing staff and providing guidance to support their professional development at higher grades
Contributing towards technical innovation
Qualification
Required
Experience/awareness of urban drainage modelling within InfoWorks ICM (or CS), GIS packages such as ARC or MapInfo and civil engineering
Development of computer models to investigate water network issues and investment needs and generation of outline solutions
Analysis of data
Supporting the development of engineering solutions and advising to our clients to help them make better asset investment decisions
Support development of reports and other project deliverables
Prepare (and adhere to) health and safety risk assessments
Support in the development of tender responses and fee estimates at higher grades
Supervising and developing staff and providing guidance to support their professional development at higher grades
Contributing towards technical innovation
Preferred
Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues
Experience in Wastewater modelling and distribution networks
Building and calibrating network models
Using network models for planning, operational and solution development purposes
Experience with InfoWorks ICM (or CS) and other modelling software
BSc/BEng/MEng degree level: geography, GIS, Science, engineering related subject or equivalent considered with appropriate professional qualifications at the senior levels
Technician roles require HNC, HND level qualification in similar subjects
