Hardware Operations Technician
Halter is on a mission to enable farmers and graziers to run the most productive and sustainable operations. They are seeking a motivated Hardware Operations Technician to maintain and improve their on-farm hardware infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
Oversee the upkeep and repair of Halter’s infrastructure to ensure seamless operations
Diagnose any issues with our hardware and feed this information back to the relevant team
Ability to transition smoothly between tasks, from repairing and upgrading infrastructure to delivering towers and collars as needed
Provide critical on-site support during farm deployments if needed, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring successful installations
Be part of the global on-call roster to support tower-related incidents and proactively find solutions in a timely manner
Work closely across all of the Halter teams to ensure alignment and successful customer outcomes
Address and resolve technical challenges promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to farm operations
Be prepared to manage a variety of tasks, often simultaneously, to meet the dynamic needs of the role
Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data from our hardware, optimize processes, and inform decision-making. You'll ensure that actionable insights are extracted to improve operational efficiency and resolve issues proactively
Development and management of a maintenance system for our NZ market
Travel within the South Island region + some NZ wide travel will be required
Qualification
Required
Practical, hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting is a must!

Willingness to travel: Spontaneous & planned travel will be included in this role. You might be 3 or 4 days on the road per week. You may also be 3 nights away from home per week
