They are seeking a career-minded Design Engineer who will work with experienced project managers and engineers on projects to improve the movement of people and goods.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering tasks in the traffic engineering field through application of relevant design criteria, standards, and processes

Perform alternative studies

Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography and other topographical to plan projects

Perform design computations

Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools

Develop construction cost estimates

Assist in the preparation of engineering documents, like contract specifications, for advertisement and construction

Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality

Qualification

Required

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Written and oral communication skills

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from ABET accredited engineering program

Preferred

Engineer-in-training certification

Related experience

Proficient in discipline specific design software

Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
