They are seeking a Senior Lead Engineer/Architect with a strong background in Java and distributed systems architecture to lead the design and development of scalable solutions for their EXA Data Services product line.

Responsibilities
Define and own the architecture, design, and technical roadmap for S3DataService component
Lead the product lifecycle from requirements and design to development, testing, and release
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and reviews for the engineering team
Drive improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed data systems
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Support (L3) teams to ensure stability and quality
Evaluate and implement customer-driven features in collaboration with Product Management
Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Data), and server-side programming
Hands-on experience with Maven, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
Solid understanding of system design, architecture patterns, and distributed systems
Deep knowledge of data storage, Big Data systems, Cassandra, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch
Experience with S3 object storage protocol and related storage technologies
Strong foundation in Linux, networking, and infrastructure-level debugging
Proven ability to lead design and implementation for large-scale enterprise systems
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Self-sufficient, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Experience with Python, containerization (Podman/Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD workflows
Prior experience with distributed file systems or high-availability storage solutions
Understanding of security, data consistency, and fault-tolerant architectures
