Experienced Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Scientist
Geosyntec Consultants is an innovative, international engineering and consulting firm that is seeking an Experienced Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join their Fresno, California office. This role involves developing contaminated site assessment and remediation practices, managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and conducting fieldwork for various environmental projects.

Responsibilities
Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability
Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors
Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing
Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
Review and manage written document production
Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan
Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties
Conduct fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction
Direct multi-disciplinary project teams
Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments
Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or related field
At least 7 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of California regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams
Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed
Proven leadership skills
Regular field work and overnight travel
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
Preferred
Advanced degree in the same
Professional registration in California or ability to receive within one year. (i.e., P.G. or P.E.)
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers
