The role involves collaborating with senior Environmental Planners and mentoring junior staff on various Environmental Assessment projects.

Be involved in a range of infrastructure projects including report writing, evaluation of alternatives, impact assessment and development of project consultation programs
Assist with proposal preparation
Client Liaison
Coordination of subconsultants
Lead/coordinate EA processes
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience
Post-secondary education in any of: planning, environmental science/studies, biology/ecology, geography, or related field
Strong organizational and communication skills
Working knowledge of Environmental Assessments including Municipal Class EA, Transit Project Assessment Process, Canadian Impact Assessment Act, Ministry of Transportation Class EA Process
Experience in the Ontario market with a focus on infrastructure projects (local/regional municipalities, MTO, Metrolinx, TTC)
Familiar with environmental permitting and approvals process
Strong technical writing skills
Knowledge of local, provincial and federal environmental policies, legislation and applicable law
Preferred
Membership (candidate status or full membership) in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (RPP) and Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) or the ability to gain candidate status is considered an asset
French language considered an asset
