Responsibilities

Leading the engagement team on the planning and execution of audits, reviews, and compilations for real estate clients including REITs, developers, real estate funds and property managers
Overseeing day-to-day operations of audit engagements including staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting
Supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing workpapers, and providing feedback
Collaborating with managers and partners to resolve client issues and provide strategic recommendations
Reviewing general ledger accounts and financial statements for reliability and compliance
Understanding real estate-specific regulations and compliance requirements
Managing multiple engagements and deadlines across various teams
Participating in professional development programs and firm initiatives

Qualification

CPACPA eligibilityAudit procedures knowledgeReal estate accountingAudit software experienceERP systems knowledgeCommunication skillsProject management skillsLeadership skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2–4 years of public accounting experience, ideally with real estate clients
Strong technical knowledge of audit procedures and real estate accounting
Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
Experience with audit software and ERP systems used in the real estate industry
Ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver high-quality work under deadlines

Preferred

CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
