They are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer / Process Consultant to provide technical leadership for projects in the fertilizer and specialty chemicals industries, ensuring deliverables meet project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Lead process engineering activities for new projects, plant expansions, and operational improvements

Develop and review process designs, including mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)

Perform process simulations, equipment sizing, and specification development

Provide technical guidance during feasibility studies, front-end engineering design (FEED), and detailed design phases

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, and project management) to ensure integrated solutions

Support clients with troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and performance optimization of existing facilities

Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (PE Licensure preferred)

Minimum 10+ years of experience in process engineering within fertilizer or specialty chemical industries

Strong knowledge of chemical process design, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics

Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or equivalent)

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical teams

Strong communication and client-facing skills

Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API) is an asset
