Responsibilities
Remediate CVEs in Docker images to maintain security compliance
Upgrade package versions across applications and shared services
Manage Kubernetes clusters, including planning and executing EKS version upgrades
Monitor, troubleshoot, and work with our SRE to ensure uptime for model deployments and core applications
Troubleshoot and support JupyterHub workspace issues for data science and ML engineering teams
Automate recurring operational tasks and system improvements using scripting and tooling
Use Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools to support configuration and deployment automation
Document operational procedures and build playbooks for repeatable workflows
Collaborate across teams and participate in rotation programs to expand your technical experience
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Scripting or automation experience in Python or Bash
Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn
Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills
Preferred
Experience supporting JupyterHub or similar collaborative analytical notebook environments such as AWS Sagemaker
Exposure to AWS services such as EKS, ECS, ECR, S3, etc
Experience with serverless tools
