Aurora Mental Health & Recovery is seeking a Master’s-level Student Intern to join their Older Adult Team. The role involves providing specialized mental health services to older adults through therapy in various settings, along with professional development and supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized mental health services to clients aged 55 and older

Deliver individual, group, and couples therapy in both outpatient settings and community locations such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities

Participate in professional development and attend team meetings

Receive weekly individual supervision and training in cognitive screening, crisis management, and therapeutic modalities tailored to older adults

Qualification

Master's in CounselingTherapeutic modalitiesCrisis managementCognitive screeningPassionate about older adults

Required

Master's-level student pursuing a degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work

Required Vaccination and TB Test

Proof of both the flu shot and negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment

Preferred
