Landscape Architect
Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking a creative and driven Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer to join their Land Planning & Landscape Architecture group. The role involves leading land development projects, collaborating with various disciplines, and preparing planning documents and construction specifications to enhance sustainability and user experience.

Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to a wide range of land development projects
Collaborate across disciplines with planners, civil engineers, and architects
Prepare conceptual planning documents and grading for new land development projects
Assist with preliminary engineering tasks on new land development projects
Develop layouts, grading plans, public/private open space, site material and amenity selection, and landscape plans for a variety of sites that encourage sustainability and focus on the end user
Prepare construction documents, calculations, specifications, technical reports, feasibility studies and coordinate work with other design staff
Create compelling visual presentations using a variety of design tools
Conduct site visits, photo audits, and reports of inventory and analysis of a site to drive design direction
Perform As-Built services of completed construction projects to comply with approved documents, municipally required reports for bond release and project quality accountability for clientele
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
5–8 years of hands-on experience in site planning and landscape design
Strong graphic presentation skills (a big plus!)
Strong understanding of site construction projects and practical knowledge when preparing construction documents and addressing RFIs
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite is a must; experience with SketchUp, Enscape, Land F/X and Microsoft Suite are highly valued
Excellent verbal, graphic and written communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with multiple disciplines
Preferred
Prior experience in community planning is a plus
Prior experience with private sector land development projects preferred public sector work is a plus
Prior experience with environmental documentation related to Forest Conservation Act is preferred, wetland delineation is a plus
Licensure or willingness to pursue licensure a plus but not required
