Technical Recruiter
Ascend is transforming the global insurance industry by combining AI automation with embedded fintech. They are seeking a Technical Recruiter to manage the full hiring lifecycle for engineering positions, partnering closely with hiring managers and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

Responsibilities
Ramp on our business, product, engineering org, and technical stack
Meet with hiring managers to align on role requirements, scorecards, and interview plans
Learn our recruiting tools, workflows, and ATS
Begin sourcing on active roles
Fully manage end-to-end pipelines for multiple requisitions
Build consistent outbound sourcing motion
Increase qualified top-of-funnel volume through sourcing and referrals
Partner with hiring managers on interview feedback, calibration, and decision-making
Contribute recurring reporting on funnel metrics and key insights (speed, quality, etc.)
Own 100% of full-cycle recruiting for technical roles with minimal guidance
Deliver consistent, predictable candidate pipelines aligned to monthly hiring targets
Experiment with new sourcing strategies, AI tools, or niche technical communities
Identify and execute process improvements across outreach, pass-through rates, time-to-hire, and interview structure
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of recruiting experience in house or at an agency
Proven success working and filling multiple job requisitions
Strong sourcing background, including advanced Boolean search and market research
Excellent communication and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Comfort navigating ambiguous or fast-changing hiring needs
Familiarity with any ATS, and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Juicebox
A data-driven mindset and comfort reporting on funnel metrics
