Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual and automated machines for building jigs, fixtures, and tooling used in metal part manufacturing
Hands-on prototype and production machining, fabricating complex precision parts to specifications using lathes, mills, grinders, boring mills, and other fabrication equipment
Select and secure fixtures, tools, and materials, maintain equipment, and verify finished work meets quality standards
Complete weld tasks as needed

Required

3+ years' experience in a machine tool shop
Knowledge of welding and machining techniques
Familiar with the set up and operation of lathes, mills, shapers, grinders, boring mills, saws, drills, and other fabrication machinery
Candidates should be able to read and interpret advanced engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances, and have strong knowledge of mechanical principles, mathematics, and machining procedures
Experience with care and maintenance of industrial machine tools and proficiency in operating various fabrication machinery is required

Preferred
