Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and excellence in instruction that supports the department's academic programs
Cultivate an active research program through extramural funding, publication in leading peer-reviewed journals within their discipline, and mentorship of both undergraduate and graduate students
Contribute to the department's broader educational mission
Qualification
Required
Earned graduate degree in appropriate field: For Business Analytics or Engineering Management, the degree should be in Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering Management, Operations Management, Marketing, or a closely related field. Business degrees must be earned from an AACSB-accredited institution
For Data Science, the degree should be in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a closely related field
Successful candidates must demonstrate evidence of: Teaching effectiveness
Ability to conduct independent research
Ability to communicate and work effectively with a broad campus community
Instructor: Master's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline
Assistant Professor: Doctorate in the relevant discipline (see above)
Associate Professor: Doctorate in the relevant discipline (see above)
Must currently hold rank of Associate Professor or be eligible to apply for this rank at current institution
Full Professor: Doctorate in the relevant discipline (see above)
Must currently hold rank of Professor or 6+ years at the rank of Associate Professor
Preferred
Experience in several of the following areas: Curriculum development
Student academic advising and mentoring
Applied or interdisciplinary research in areas consistent with Florida Polytechnic University's mission and a corresponding record of publications in reputable peer reviewed journals
Successful completion of funded research projects
Contributing or sole author on proposals for grants or other funded research opportunities
Relevant technical work in industry or consulting
Evidence of effective teaching
Relevant research or industry experience
Experience in curriculum delivery and development
Experience with students' academic advising and mentoring
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent applied research
Experience as contributing author or sole author on research proposals
Professional activities and organizations
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a broad campus community
