Promise Robotics is launching a new robotic homebuilding plant in partnership with large homebuilders in Calgary. They are seeking a Journeyman Carpenter to lead a team in framing wall panels, floors, and stairs, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

Assemble/finish pre-built wall, and floor structures

Examine and understand specifics of blueprints, building plans and work orders to prepare project layouts to determine the dimensions and lead the internal team in executing the home build

Measure, cut, and assemble the framing lumber needed to build residential buildings

Install exterior windows and doors

Frame floor panels as per joist layout and framing shop drawings

Conduct interior work such as fitting interior doors and casings

Use a variety of hand and power tools such as saws, drills, nail guns, framer’s squares, and measuring tapes

Provide on the job training & mentorship to other employees in a manufacturing environment

Maintain safety standards in the work place through daily tool box meetings

Follow quality control procedures

Work with the procurement team and material management teams to ensure raw materials are available

Participate actively in problem solving sessions, continuous improvement initiatives

Perform additional duties as required
