Responsibilities

Administer, monitor, and optimize SAP HANA database instances for peak performance and availability

Manage backups, restores, and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity

Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues proactively

Monitor system health and implement alerts to prevent disruptions

Analyze queries, execution plans, and system resources to identify and resolve bottlenecks

Implement strategies like partitioning and compression to enhance performance

Plan, test, and deploy SAP HANA updates, patches, and upgrades

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime during maintenance

Enforce database security policies, including access control and encryption

Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations

Audit access logs and investigate anomalies

Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps

Support the design and implementation of disaster recovery strategies

Automate routine tasks using Python, Shell, or SQL scripting

Develop monitoring tools to improve operational efficiency
