Public Relations Coordinator

The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is an organization focused on fostering dialogue and cooperation between Jews and Christians. The Public Relations Coordinator will play a vital role in the Global Marketing and Communications team, handling media relations, content development, and online reputation management.

Responsibilities

Assist PR Manager with media relations activities, including drafting and sending media pitches and press releases, building and maintaining media lists, and support coordination of media opportunities
Help develop and maintain media kits, press center and intranet content
Help curate commentary, stories and photo and video assets weekly for PR use
Maintain United States PR coverage tracker and assist global teams in entering monthly coverage into Global tracker
Assist in development of monthly US PR report and other reports as needed
Maintain awards & honors tracker, and related research and applications
Arrange ORM & awards meetings as needed
Prepare meeting agendas and recaps
Assist with meeting scheduling and agency management
Identify opportunities to update Standard Operating Procedure documents to keep institutional knowledge current

Required

Bachelors' degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Advertising, or equivalent experience
Ability to project manage, multitask and work well under tight deadlines
Excellent organizational abilities and highly detail-oriented
Understanding of or interest in learning about Christian-Jewish relations
Excellent interpersonal skills are critical for relationship building
Excellent writing and editing skills, ability to develop compelling copy
Solid understanding of media landscape and media relations process, as well as PR reporting
Understanding of crisis PR
Experience working in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Experience with media monitoring tools

Preferred

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in public relations with agency experience preferred
Experience in a faith-based or humanitarian organization preferred
