Quality Technical Team Member - MCL - Weekend Nights (Onsite)

They are seeking a Quality Technical Team Member to perform quality inspections and testing of specimens, ensuring compliance with specifications and optimizing processes for production and quality goals.

Responsibilities

Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
Sort priorities as needed
Operate multiple machines for Specimen testing
Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work
Log testing data in UGA
Maintain required log books
Ensure incoming specimens meet J section specifications
Visually inspect specimens and with the usage of gages
Ensure specimens are prioritized correctly
Ensure receiver number, shop dimensions, and alloy data matches the envelope
Perform internal and external grainsize operations on parts
Follow blueprints, Work Instructions and GBMOP to mark locations accurately
Utilize different chemicals for the etching process
Prepare specimens by operating different equipment and polishing methods
Use Solumina and UGA for data recording
Perform grainsize readings on the microscope
Perform 6s each shift
Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings
Complete all training within the expected time given

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required
Two to five years' experience in machining and/or quality
Familiar with blueprints

Preferred

Two to five years' experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment
Technical degree preferred
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures
Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings
Good organizational skills
