Laboratory Technician III

Responsibilities
Execute experiments using cellular and mouse models of neuromuscular disease
Assist with laboratory oversight including ordering of key equipment and reagents, tracking purchases, and training new personnel
Plan and conducts technical procedures, non-routine and complex in nature. Sets up and operates equipment and instrumentation
With latitude for modifying methods and techniques, records, computes, and analyzes test data. Prepares test reports and makes recommendations
May review, analyze, and integrate technical work of others
May perform specialized duties in process or service laboratories, such as photography/illustration services
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent Required
5 years of relevant experience Required
or equivalent combination of education and experience Required
Preferred
Associate's degree preferred Preferred
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail Preferred
Commitment to the University's core values Preferred
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment Preferred
