Chief Impact Officer

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest San Diego is seeking a Chief Impact Officer to join their Executive Leadership Team. This role is responsible for driving strategic program development, ensuring high-quality outcomes, and expanding the organization's impact on youth and communities.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership that mirrors the adopted mission and core values
Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems and processes
Responsible for the management of membership tracking systems. Report on all membership counts, including grant reporting for Specialty Programs and membership tracking for BGCA, as well as provides support with Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest San Diego (BGCNWSD) report
Supervise, guide, and mentor direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and high performance
Provide leadership support for the expansion of specialty programs, including strategic planning, goal setting, and aligning program objectives with overall business goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (e.g., leadership, other departments, suppliers, customers) to integrate quality and professional development into all phases of the product/service lifecycle
Assist with managing program budgets and allocating resources effectively to ensure program success and expansion goals are met
Maintain knowledge of relevant industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in quality assurance and professional development, and incorporate best practices into program design
Responsible for reporting outcomes and collective impact on membership and the community
Oversee the identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve program effectiveness on the basis of participation and achievement of stated goals; recommends modifications to improve program performance, as appropriate
Recommend changes and re-development of programming to suit the needs of the community, youth being served, according to grant requirements, and/or needs arising throughout the Club service area
Supports improving safety effectiveness in all areas of Specialty programs; recommends modifications to improve safety, as appropriate
Guide the Senior Director of Operations and the Maintenance Director in evaluating safety policies and programs. Jointly performs safety training and drills throughout the year with the individuals in those roles as well
Define, implement, and update quality management systems (QMS) and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Plan and implement a staff development and safety training program
Lead the organization’s quality assurance and impact measurement efforts
Develop and implement systems to track program outcomes and youth progress
Use data to inform decision-making and communicate impact to stakeholders
Plan and coordinate system reviews and quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement
Work with department Directors to identify professional development needs and skill gaps, recommending and coordinating appropriate training and resources
Coordinate agency budget development, monitor and report variances in revenues and expenditures, including curriculum and program development and staff development
Responsible for Specialty Program budgets
Supervise, provide leadership, and manage performance of assigned staff in achieving goals, providing technical assistance in program design, development, community relations and program operations
Maintain contact with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America national office regarding programming grant reporting, and annual report requirements
Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize program reach and effectiveness
Monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with funding requirements
Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of all Specialty Programs (e.g., Athletics, Aquatics, CVMS, Culinary Arts, ROADs, YAA etc.) to ensure alignment with organizational goals and youth development outcomes
Collaborate with Program Directors/ Managers to ensure consistent delivery of high-impact programming across locations
Monitor program performance metrics and National Youth Outcomes Initiative (NYOI) scores to drive continuous improvement
Work closely with the Board of Directors and applicable Board committees
Actively attends and participates in Special Events and fundraising activities
Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families and community organizations
Cultivate and expand strategic partnerships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and government agencies to enhance program offerings and support youth development
Represent the organization in collaborative initiatives and community forums
Support with grant strategy, including identification of funding opportunities, proposal development, and reporting
Ensure compliance with grant requirements and timely submission of deliverables
Work closely with the grant team to align program goals with funding priorities
Participate in activities to maintain good public relations for Club programs, services and activities
Collaborate with the Director of Development to aid in development activities as needed
Responsible for working effectively and professionally with Club staff, subordinates, Board Member, community groups and other related agencies
Work closely with the CEO, Administrative and Leadership Team

Required

Bachelor's degree in education, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in youth development, nonprofit management, or related sectors
Prior experience with budget development and management
Combination of education and related experience applicable
