The City University of New York is seeking an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor tenure-track faculty member for the Photonics Initiative at the Advanced Science Research Center. The successful candidate will engage in research, teaching, and mentorship, contributing to the ASRC's cross-disciplinary program and developing educational programming at CUNY.

Responsibilities

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise

Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions

Engage in research, teaching and mentorship of students and laboratory members; make key contributions to shape the ASRC's cross-disciplinary program; develop educational programming at CUNY, and initiate new interdisciplinary collaborative projects and activities across CUNY and other research institutions

Required

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent

Ability to teach successfully

Demonstrated scholarship or achievement

Preferred

Ph.D. degree in a photonics-related area

Demonstrated achievements in research and scholarship

History of conducting high-impact scientific research adopting interdisciplinary approaches

Collaborative spirit

Innovative research plan that complements current Photonics Initiative efforts
