Responsibilities

Lead and manage FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project goals are met within the specified timeline and budget
Provide physical oversight of monitoring well/soil boring installation, groundwater sampling, regulatory and client interactions, pilot testing, tank and spill bucket closures and proposal preparation
Oversee the design and implementation of remedial systems, including site assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering designs
Ensure all projects comply with FDEP regulations and other relevant environmental laws and standards
Mentor and develop junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly
Prepare detailed engineering reports, project documentation, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial accountability

Required

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on petroleum restoration projects and remedial system design, construction, and maintenance
Strong proficiency in environmental engineering principles, remedial system design, and project management software
In-depth knowledge of FDEP regulations and other relevant environmental laws and standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members
Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, with a focus on mentoring and developing junior staff

Preferred

A Master's degree
Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) is highly preferred
