Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement voice systems, including VoIP, PBX, and SIP technologies

Configure and maintain voice gateways, routers, switches, and related network devices

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for voice systems

Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to integrate voice systems with other technologies

Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes, and best practices

Stay current with emerging voice and network technologies, recommending improvements where appropriate

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in voice engineering or related field

Strong knowledge of VoIP, PBX, SIP, and related communication protocols

Hands-on experience with Cisco voice technologies (CUCM, Unity Connection, UCCX)

Proficiency with voice gateways, routers, switches, and other core network components

Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred

CCNP Collaboration or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)

Cisco Certified Specialist – Collaboration Core or Collaboration Applications

CompTIA Network+ or Security+

Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer Associate (MS-720) or equivalent certification

SIP School Certified Professional (SSCP) or other VoIP-related credentials
