Responsibilities

Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulations like HIPAA and GDPR

Utilize Microsoft Purview to implement and enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies, configure data classification and labeling across various data sources, and develop retention and insider risk management strategies

Administer Microsoft Purview Unified Catalog for data governance

Monitor and respond to DLP policy violations and data loss incidents, and manage security alerts related to data protection

Support secure software development with a focus on data protection

Collaborate to evaluate and develop policies addressing information security and risk reduction

Ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and HIPAA

Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and work to mitigate risks

Collaborate with various stakeholders to implement technology solutions supporting data protection policies

Participate in responding to security incidents and provide expertise on data protection

Communicate complex concepts effectively

Create and manage API connections and rulesets for integrations
