Maintenance Manager
McKinley Paper and Packaging Company is seeking a Site Maintenance Manager to provide technical leadership and management for their Prewitt New Mexico Mill team. The role involves overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing a team to maintain reliable and efficient facilities.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and management for the Prewitt New Mexico Mill team, ensuring world-class maintenance standards
Oversee facility maintenance and work management activities, including installation and modifications, corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance in a 24-hour/7-day manufacturing work environment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives, and assist with developing effective maintenance programs
Manage a team of managers, technicians, and skilled workers to provide facilities that are reliable, efficient, and safe
Qualification
Required
Extensive knowledge of and experience with facility and project management including systems engineering design and maintenance; safety/authorization basis; configuration management programs; work control; facility control systems; major construction projects; and upgrades and renovations
Extensive knowledge of and experience with facility and site work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures
Demonstrated experience and ability to understand and interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics
Demonstrated experience and skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and determining action to be performed on problems affecting performance
Demonstrated experience and skill in management, supervision, of assigned employees
Demonstrated experience and skill developing and implementing organizational strategies and objectives
Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership, mentorship, prioritization, and management of assigned employees in a collaborative and participative environment to build strong teams
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 8-10 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
In depth knowledge of the MPC organizational structure
Demonstrated experience with MPC business systems for management and administration of personnel including timekeeping, payroll, budgeting, travel, training and certification, performance reviews, and payroll policies and procedures
Demonstrated in depth knowledge of MPC maintenance program policy and procedures
Demonstrated ability to prepare and present safety and technical briefings to a diverse workforce representative of all types and levels of workers
