Responsibilities
Perform routine and department-specific Quality Inspection, auditing, compliance, and Critical Process inspections throughout the plant in a standardized, efficient, and repeatable manner
Provide training to others on critical-to-quality product and process criteria
Move boats to various locations (repaint, outside, warehouse, etc.) manually or by pallet jack and assist in heat-shrinking boats as required
Works on special projects geared towards product or process improvement
Serve as a gatekeeper for customer satisfaction and a quality leader within the facility
Ability to perform independently as well as in a team role, possess good organizational skills and ability to follow instructions
Actively participate in and work in a safe manner
Work overtime as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read drawings and specifications
Must have solid mechanical skills, utilize basic math and reading skills, ability to utilize hand and power tools
Must have computer, math and reading proficiency and ability to use databases
Ability to receive and follow instruction
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to change with attention to detail
Preferred
Computer skills and knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS is a plus
