Purchasing Assistant | Purchasing Department

Responsibilities

Monitor and follow up on open orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues related to pricing, quantities, or shipment status
Communicate with vendors regarding quotes, order confirmations, lead times, and backorders
Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure accurate payments
Assist with vendor onboarding, including collecting required documents such as W-9, COI, banking information, etc
Provide administrative and logistical support for procurement projects

Required

High school diploma or equivalent is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Demonstrate a willingness to learn procurement procedures

Prior purchasing or helpdesk experience
Basic understanding of purchasing terms, supplier management, and ordering procedures
