Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality learning assets, including interactive guides, manuals, rollout guides, checklists, job aids, and videos for all operations strategies
Write user-friendly, engaging copy about operational processes and procedures
Prepare and deliver final artwork for production across digital and print platforms
Plan and execute photo and video shoots to showcase menu items, procedures, and the IHOP brand story
Maintain and organize a library of visual assets, including photos, videos, and finalized assets, to support design efforts
Ensure all visual assets follow brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and impactful identity across projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and alignment. Complete quality assurance checks and secure final approvals for training deliverables
Track project timelines and deliverables using tools like Smartsheet
Work closely with the Lead Learning Experience Designer and establish and maintain partnerships with managers and peers within the greater organization
Acquire and maintain deep knowledge of IHOP’s brand, operational standards, and team member roles to inform design decisions
Stay current on emerging learning, multimedia technologies, and trends and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of IHOP’s training resources
Uphold professional standards and contribute to a culture of inclusivity, creativity, and learner advocacy
Perform other responsibilities as needed to support IHOP Academy and the L&D team

Required

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or related field
0-2+ years of experience in graphic design or multimedia
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and Vyond
Basic video production and editing skills, including storyboarding, scripting, camera operation, sound, and lighting
Familiarity with eLearning tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise)
Understanding of social media design and digital-first brand storytelling
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft Copilot
Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
Strong writing and visual storytelling skills, with attention to tone, clarity, and brand alignment
High attention to detail, ensuring all content is polished, accurate, and aligned with brand standards
Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ability to work in a hybrid schedule, with standard in-office days Tuesday through Thursday for full workdays, (typically 8-9 am – 4-5 pm) and actively participate in in-person working sessions, meetings, team events, RSC events, and media production

Preferred

Experience in hospitality or food service training environments is a plus
