Software Development Engineer, Leo Trust Services
Amazon is launching Project Leo, an initiative to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity through a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites. The Software Development Engineer will focus on building secure communication software and managing security systems for the Leo constellation.

Responsibilities
Build software for secure communications and strong authentication, enabling the confidentiality for our customers and security for our constellation
Drive the development, deployment, and operation of mission-critical security systems for the Leo constellation and customer terminals
Build services around public key infrastructure, certificate management, and identity management for Project Leo
Qualification
Required
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Candidates for this role must have an interest in at least one of the following: providing security and privacy to customers, PKI (public key infrastructure), Encryption, Cryptography, Key Management, or Secure Device Provisioning
Preferred
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
