Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address production issues and minimize downtime
Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effective production methods
Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and training materials for manufacturing teams
Manage and oversee pilot runs and new product introductions to ensure smooth transition to full-scale production
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and manufacturing staff
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and materials
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a relevant industry
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment
Solid modeling experience using Solid Works, Pro E, Inventor, or equivalent
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Preferred
Certification such as Six Sigma Black Belt or Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
Experience with automation and robotics integration in manufacturing
Previous experience leading projects
