Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and validation of battery systems, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers
Develop and execute test plans for battery cells, packs, and products, analyze results, and recommend improvements
Serve as a technical liaison between internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring adherence to system requirements and industry standards
Conduct root cause analysis, propose corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement for battery system performance and reliability
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, plan and coordinate engineering work, and facilitate design reviews and technical discussions
Stay current with battery technology trends, compliance, and regulatory standards, and provide guidance on best practices
Maintain and improve engineering documentation, support cost modeling, and minimize financial impact during system integration
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline
3–5 years of direct experience in battery systems engineering or a related field
Advanced understanding of lithium-ion battery management, charging strategies, and circuits
Strong technical, analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with experience managing complex projects
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed and collaborate with diverse teams
