Vice President of Government Affairs

Responsibilities

Devise our Congressional engagement approach and manage its execution
Be the company guide for all things Congressional, articulate courses of action for the executive team, and make recommendations based on your considered judgment
Get informed and excited about what we are building, and understand the role it will play in our national security
Develop the relationships before they are needed to advocate smartly for the company when it matters most

Required

Minimum five years, but preferably eight years of Congressional experience
Knowledge of defense issues and a demonstrated history of working with at least one of the Congressional defense committees or subcommittees
Moved with urgency to make big things happen
Worked in or with defense industries, especially aerospace
Practiced people skills in the legislative sphere
Exceeded professional standards for lobbyists
Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
To conform to U.S. Government controlled technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
