Disability Services Program Specialist

Lifesteps, Inc. is a local human service agency serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years. They are seeking a Disability Services Program Specialist to work with individuals with special needs, assisting in the development of Individual Goal Plans and coordinating community participation.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of Individual Goal Plans (ISP's) that ensure the needs and wishes of the individuals are met
Work hands on with the individuals with disabilities in the Day Program
Coordinate/assist with community participation
Complete and maintain documentation, ISPs, and reports for the program
Ensure compliance with 2380 and Chapter 11 regulations

Qualification

Required

Associate's degree OR 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years' experience working directly with persons with disabilities
Possess a valid driver's license which legally permits operating a motor vehicle in Pennsylvania
Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by Lifesteps

Preferred

Master's degree and 1 year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of direct care experience
Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
