Propulsion System HIL- Technical Lead
Stellantis is seeking candidates for the Propulsion System HIL - Technical Lead role in the PHIL team to work on Propulsion System Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulators. The role involves interfacing with cross-functional teams to resolve HIL simulation issues and conducting benchmarks while evaluating new HIL technologies.

Responsibilities
Interface with cross-functional teams of ECU Hardware, Systems, SW, Controls, Plant Modeling, and Calibration engineers to rapidly resolve HIL simulation environment and/or integration issues, triage, troubleshooting during commissioning of HIL test properties
Conduct benchmarks, evaluating new HIL technologies, working with teams on processes, methodologies and tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or related degree field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Propulsion system plant modeling, electrical/electronics, hardware, software or controls
Knowledge and experience with Hybrid and Battery Electric Systems/Components, ICE, Transmission, Vehicle Dynamics, EE
Experience with HIL requirements analysis, open/closed loop HIL commissioning of electrified propulsion system controllers
Demonstrated Hardware- In-the-Loop systems experience (dSPACE, ETAS, NI HIL systems)
Hands on experience with the dSpace Simulators (Scalexio), Harness design, implementation, Electrical Loads etc
Experience with HIL electrical/wiring harness, load box design & implementation, troubleshooting
Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
Knowledge of CAN stack, SPI, LIN and Flash bootloader integration
Knowledge in diagnostic management: CANalyzer, CANoe
Knowledge of Simulation Tool (e.g. CarMaker, ASM)
Knowledge experience with UDS, XCP protocol
Familiarity using trace capture tools, data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS - INCA
Experience with HIL testing, vehicle integration and validation
Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to speak with individuals at all levels in the organization
Experience working cross-functionally
Preferred
Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or related degree field
Minimum of 10 years of working experience of Propulsion Modeling, HIL Development, testing & delivery of test properties
Detailed knowledge about ICE, Hybrid and BEV applications
Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics and specific simulation software
Good working experience with dSpace Simulators, Hardware design and implementation
Experience of working within an AGILE or Scrum framework
Experience in Test Automation
Ability to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
Understanding of the development of embedded software
