Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant in the IT Department to assist faculty and staff with daily, routine library operations. The role involves resolving computing questions, maintaining equipment, and supporting IT staff with various tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist Auburn University Libraries staff in resolving computing questions as well as hardware/software problems/repairs/maintenance
Assist IT staff in updating computer software, imaging laptops/computers, swapping out computer equipment
Refer users to other information resources when necessary to resolve computer usage issues
Maintain a neat and orderly work area
Help set up/transport equipment

Required

Enrolled student at Auburn University
Interest in public service and delivery of quality customer service
Be willing to work as a team member while interacting with faculty, staff, and students

Dependability, multi-tasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
