Senior, Financial Aid Advisor
Broward College is seeking a Senior Financial Aid Advisor responsible for daily financial aid processes, including counseling and advising students and parents on various financial aid programs. The role involves analyzing student financial aid records and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining a student-centered focus.

Responsibilities
Counseling and advising parents, students and others regarding federal, state, institutional, and foundation financial aid programs
Ensuring the removal of barriers to receive educational funding
Providing information on policies, procedures and eligibility of financial aid programs
Analyzing/processing student financial aid records, including federal verification, certification of loans, matching scholarship criteria with eligible students, and awarding grants
Evaluating, reviewing, and reconciling student financial aid files
Reconciling funds and processing R2T4’s for those assigned to the Operational business area
Understanding and implementing state grant programs

Required
Under limited supervision, the Senior Financial Aid Advisor is responsible for the daily financial aid processes including counseling and advising parents, students and others regarding federal, state, institutional, and foundation financial aid programs
Ensuring the removal of barriers to receive educational funding
Provides information on policies, procedures and eligibility of financial aid programs
Analyzing/processing student financial aid records, including federal verification, certification of loans, matching scholarship criteria with eligible students, and awarding grants
Responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and reconciling student financial aid files
Senior Financial Aid Advisors assigned the Operational business area will also reconcile funds, process R2T4's, understand and implement state grant programs
