Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with product, design, and development teams to understand business requirements and communicate potential risks or impacts related to software issues
Analyze test results to identify and report defects, adhering to best practices established by the team
Create and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts to accurately assess application quality
Develop, maintain, and enhance automation tests and framework libraries using Java and other languages such as Groovy and Kotlin to ensure software functionality and reliability
Perform API testing using tools like REST Assured, Microservices, and GraphQL to validate backend services
Conduct performance testing using the K6 tool to ensure software scalability and efficiency
Build and optimize applications utilizing Spring Boot and JavaScript
Conduct basic UI testing to ensure seamless user interactions, employing Dev Tools, CSS, HTML, and jQuery
Ensure comprehensive cross-browser and cross-platform testing for consistent application functionality

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or programming role
Proven experience in Java scripting and API testing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Growth-minded individual eager to develop
Proficiency in Java and Groovy for test automation
Experience with API testing tools such as REST Assured, Microservices, and GraphQL
Familiarity with performance testing tools like K6
Knowledge of Spring Boot and JavaScript for application development and optimization
Basic understanding of UI technologies, including Dev Tools, CSS, HTML, and jQuery
Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing

Preferred

Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
