Responsibilities

Selecting and specifying equipment

Preparing detailed system piping and instrumentation diagrams

Performing system and equipment sizing calculations

Establishing facility design requirements and developing the system safety basis

Providing consulting and code interpretations to interfacing disciplines

Supporting the development and/or maintenance of fire hazards analyses or fire protection design analyses

Reviewing supplier and subcontractor designs and installations

Qualification

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months

Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites

Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Preferred

Master of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months

Experience with fire modeling using CFAST

Knowledge of life safety and building codes, including NFPA, UL, and FM standards

EIT/FE certification in Fire Protection Engineering

Prior co-op or internship experience

Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA

Excellent written and oral communication skills
