Responsibilities
Champion the Company’s safety culture by actively supporting safety initiatives and adhering to safety protocols established by Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
Support and promote the Company’s core values, vision, mission, code of ethics, workplace conduct, and established policies
Assist in mentoring, coaching, and development of QC teams within the organization
Serve as a key resource and subject matter expert on quality control specifications and principles to support Quality leadership
Assist in the development and implementation of quality initiatives focused on continuous improvement
Help ensure quality control operations conform to company policies, regulatory agency guidelines, and compliance standards
Help maintain effective communications channels and foster collaboration across departments and regions to promote quality objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to maintain quality and reliability standards based on product, engineering, and customer requirements
Support operations to prioritize quality control efforts while managing cost control and waste reduction initiatives
Coordinate with external laboratories and third parties involved in testing and quality compliance as directed by QC leadership
Collect, analyze, and present quality data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to management
Assist as a liaison with federal, state, and local agencies on quality-related matters under the guidance of the QC Technical Director
Participate in project work and special assignments to advance organizational goals and quality initiatives
Qualification
Required
5+ years of technical quality control experience, with some leadership or supervisory responsibilities preferred
Knowledge of material testing standards and specifications governed by federal, state, and local agencies including DOT, ASTM, and AASHTO
Understanding of construction processes and materials production such as asphalt and ready-mix concrete
Proficient with QA/QC testing equipment, quality metrics, and data analysis
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels
Demonstrated ability to assist with developing and training QHSE or QC personnel
Detail-oriented with solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
Bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain a clean driving record
Preferred
Some leadership or supervisory responsibilities preferred
ACI and DOT testing certifications preferred; advanced certifications a plus
