Education
Responsibilities
Assist with group and one-on-one instruction
Read to students and listen to them read
Monitor and support student completion of assignments
Work with small groups for skill reinforcement or remediation
Provide immediate feedback and adaptive strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Monitor and adjust student behavior as needed
Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
Help develop learning centers and activity packets
Correct papers, file materials, and update bulletin boards
Duplicate and distribute classroom materials
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the building principal or designee
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work independently and cooperatively
Effective communication, confidentiality, and basic academic skills
Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Must pass all required background checks and clearances (Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 168)
Preferred
Experience With Young Children Is Preferred
