Responsibilities

Develop and own the end-to-end data migration strategy aligned with SAP implementation goals

Define data governance standards, quality metrics, and compliance requirements

Create migration roadmaps, timelines, and risk mitigation plans

Lead data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SAP tools (e.g., LSMW, SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit)

Perform data mapping, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness

Oversee reconciliation and audit of migrated data post-go-live

Work closely with functional consultants, business process owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and validate migration outputs

Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users and project teams

Implement data quality checks and error handling mechanisms

Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations

Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, data dictionaries, and mapping specifications

Provide post-migration support and troubleshoot data-related issues

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Minimum 5+ years in SAP data migration projects, preferably in S/4HANA environments

Strong knowledge of ETL tools and SAP migration utilities (LSMW, BODS, Migration Cockpit)

SQL, data modeling, and data validation techniques

Familiarity with SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, PP)

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred

SAP Certified Application Associate – Data Migration

Experience with SAP S/4HANA conversion projects
