Responsibilities
The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership
The intern will be assigned special projects as needed
The intern will be able to describe core functions of program management, have a basic knowledge of software technologies, government contracting procedures, managing program operations to ensure production schedules are met, system resources are utilized efficiently and effectively, and proper relationships are established between customers
The intern will cost gain a functional understanding of schedule, performance, and risk identification / mitigation on initiatives including but not limited to systems, tools, equipment, software, facilities and other activities
The intern will be oriented to profit and loss of a large complex program
The intern will be trained on all phases of programs from inception through completion
The intern will support a program contained at one primary geographic location however covering remote locations and multiple business functions and employees directly assigned to program
The intern will be trained on processes to track cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs
Qualification
Required
Active-Duty Military ONLY within final 180 days of active-duty service
Applications accepted within final 12 months of active-duty service
Transitioning US military service member with extensive program/project experience and technical background
Commitment to learning HII standards and skills in Program and Project Management
Preferred
PMP certification
10 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, in Business or related field
Experience Program/Project Management collaborating directly with DoD contracting companies
Extensive experience leading or managing large organizations, particularly those in the SOF, Intelligence, and/or Cyber Operations community
