Responsibilities

Hardware and firmware design for microcontroller-based products

Create/complete electrical component and system-level designs

Create/complete Bills-of-Materials (BOM’s), technical documentation to support electrical designs

Successfully transition new products from concept into production through support, training, and cross-departmental communications

Manage, participate in and lead development teams developing early prototypes with potential customers

Create technical design specifications and test plan requirements

Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

3+ years work experience – New product development background preferred

Hardware design experience with digital and analog circuits

Experience in design of wireless RF communications

Experience in PCB design, layout and assembly preferably using Altium software

Ambition, energy, and drive to continuously improve processes

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to travel approximately 10%

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for company sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B, TN, etc.) both now and in the future

Preferred

Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering

Experience with battery power optimization, low power electro-mechanical actuators, micro-motors, solenoids

Circuit design and imbedded code development utilizing MicroChip PIC, ATMEL, ARM, microcontrollers

A working knowledge of .NET, TCP/IP, Ethernet, communication protocols

Experience in manufacturing and testing. (HALT, Standards, etc.)

Project management skills

Strong team player with excellent time management skills

Strong interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills
