Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
Analyzing company processes and procedures and develop process enhancement strategies
Monitor staff performance and organizational processes
Study time, methods, and speed involved in production to establish standard workflow rate and improve efficiency
Coordinate the purchase of special equipment, materials, or parts and ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
Create product specifications and detailed assembly instructions
Aid and report on work assignments, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays
Recommend technology or computer aids, product design changes and workspace layout modification to existing production standards to achieve optimum quality and efficiency
Develop a successful workflow, adapt to changing conditions, and develop new equipment, procedures, and policies to increase efficiency in all operations
Autonomous, having the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction using a hands-on approach; providing support as needed
Observes operations to ensure that employees and equipment comply with safety regulations, identifies cost-saving opportunities, troubleshoots machinery, and report all deficiencies
Collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and staff satisfaction
Engage with quality, engineering and manufacturing regarding the non-conforming materials (NCM’s) process seeking resolution to issues that meet both the Company and customer’s expectations
Embrace a fast-paced environment that requires a sense of urgency in relation to the needs of both internal and external customers
Manage transition from old products being discontinued to new products being introduced
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Company
Qualification
Required
Minimum, Bachelor Degree and 3+ years of experience in a similar engineering position
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers
Problem resolution skills
Understand competitive market
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume environment
Ability to read and understand machining & assembly drawings
Technical understanding with a hands-on approach
Strategic analytical thinking to introduce new innovations to production processes
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Ability to objectively review, understand and organize data
Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
Process Improvement and Development using quality tools (5-why's, corrective action, 8-D, etc.)
Detailed oriented, well-organized; self-starter; ability to work under minimal supervision
Dependable and self-motivated
