Responsibilities

Soil and rock classification, soil laboratory testing and analysis
Technical analyses of earth retention systems
Technical analyses of shallow, deep, and specialized foundations
Report and supporting document preparation and compilation (for all technical analyses)
Providing communication and support services to subcontractor partners

Required

Zero (0) to seven (7) years of experience within the geotechnical or similar engineering field
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution
Engineer in training (“EIT”) or Engineering Intern “EI” certification

Preferred

Experience with deep and shallow foundations
Laboratory soil analyses
Technical reports issuance with limited supervision
Some engineering experience
Knowledge of Bishop's Method of Slices and Infinite Slope failure analysis
Experience with geotechnical analysis programs such as Shaft and gINT
Experience with computer drafting software (AutoCAD)
Experience with slope stability software such as STABL Suite, Geoslope, and/or equivalent software
Professional Engineer 'PE' registration
